CAMOGLI

On the splendid Riviera Ligure, amidst the pine and olive trees of Golfo Paradiso, in the embrace of a verdant natural amphitheater, lies Camogli. The characteristic medieval village, west of the Portofino promontory, is a small jewel that has miraculously remained intact over time. Its ancient origins are already encapsulated in its name: Camogli, in fact, derives from the Genoese word 'Cà de mogee', which means 'House of wives', a reminder of the times when men were always absent because they were at sea. The small harbour with its multicoloured fishermen's boats and multicoloured houses clinging to the coast is immediately striking.
